Gary’s diverse, “hands-on” operational and marketing expertise has effectively positioned highWAY Financial Networks with institutional quality financial services delivered through a network of independent advisors. Gary joined highWAY Financial Networks in 2006 following twenty years of management and business marketing experience in Silicon Valley which included a fourteen year career with Hewlett-Packard. In addition he worked with successful startup companies in senior management positions including Chief Operations Officer and director of engineering at Alyanza that was acquired by NIKU (NASDAQ: NIKU). Gary has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (or AIF®) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburg. Gary provides business owners and professionals with strategic business consulting to help them reach their business, professional and personal goals. |
Gary graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. He earned an M.B.A. from St. Mary’s College and a certificate in Manufacturing and Production Operations from Stanford University and he was a candidate in the Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering program at Stanford University. Gary and his wife, Dr. Lisa Harpenau, live in San Francisco, CA., with their two standard poodles, Kobe and Arthur. Gary lists Biblical research, chess, 1959 Corvette restoration, volunteering through the Kiwanis organization, and an inordinate amount of dog walking as a few of his favorite activities. gsipos@highWAYfinancial.com
