In most investment
firms, brokers are compensated based upon transaction --- if you
buy, there's a commission; if you sell, there's a commission.
In fact, it is to a broker's advantage for you to make as many
transactions as possible --- even if it's not in your best
interest. They have one primary goal in mind --- managing
your money i a way that creates income for the firm and
representative, then for the client. In fact, the SEC
requires brokerage firms to include the line, "Our interest many
